We are off to a great start!
I'm really happy about the work you have chosen!
Please be aware that on exam day you will present a detailed plan for what your group is doing, who is doing what, when it is happening, and why you are doing it!

Questions
Could our world be better?
What can we do to make it better?

Statements
All change is a result of acting on idealism.
Do Something! Change Something!

Goal
Make change in ONE area where the world could be better.
Harness your talents and energy to make this a better world.
Act on it!

You can start from scratch with your own original idea or you can join a group that already exists.
You could take your work from Do It To It and expand upon it.
Keep in mind that most of our work will have to happen right here on campus.

For Example…
Problem
Solution
Electoral College Lobby the NC legislature to implement the National Popular Vote Plan. Educate citizens about the electoral college

Education Partner with/adopt/build a school for arts in the developing world
Environment/food Start a serious composting/slow foods movement on campus

Here's a couple of examples from years past of student Solutions Working Groups projects.

Four years ago, my students made a great web site you can use to calculate how much money you spend each day.

Think about this project and report back to class.

Here's the specifics...
